  • TheTible ★ at 2003-01-30

in the game http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/game/game.jsp?gid=24408 my opponent has a time greater then 240!!

    It's something wrong there?

My '4 in a row' game, the opponent time is 306 now ! :)

And this was 6 hours ago 288 (it is growing) !

Again! In the same game, my opponent's time is over 240… more precise, the time is 258h at the post moment.

    The game is #24408.

    Thank you.

This will happen if your opponent times out in another ongoing game. Then a vacation days is triggered and ALL of his games get 24 hours extra time.

The rule of timing is confusing.   It must have been changed many times since 2003, but it does not look better than 10 years ago.   The opponent gets negative hours (one -36, another -13, now) without triggering a vacation day. One's time jumped to 36h from negative thirty something by one play. I guess no vacation day was affected. This is a hole  of the timing rule, and someone is misusing it.

The old version has something about the rule of timing (FAQ).  where is it now?

See the “-2 Hours” post on the general forum, it's a returning problem of server jobs that need to be (re-)started…

Sorry for the overstrike, it seems to happen when I use the minus symbol :-(
