What do I do in this game? The score counter thinks all my white stones are dead! The only way I can see is to place more stones in my own territory, but that should not be necessary (I can afford it, but I might not afford it next time).

You have to mark the g7 stone as dead

Clicking on a stone (in the Count Score screen) toggles it's live/dead status.
