I am perplexed by my situation. My opponent can simply keep the ball hemmed in the rest of the game and win. Is this a legal situation?

interesting position ;-) i'm not sure, if it's legal. as far i know, you have to give your opponent an opportunity to reach the ball. it's not writen, you must have a change to play the ball. *gg
Well, red _can_ play the ball.
It seems to me, that if yellow maintains this position, he is obeying the letter of the law, though not its spirit. But it is amusing. I congratulate antkam for coming up with this, even if it is unsporting!
I'm confused. I haven't played Street Soccer here yet… and I don't even know the rules, but why would it be “sporting” to allow your opponent a chance at the ball? Isn't the whole objective of any real soccer game to keep the ball AWAY from your opponent, so that they can't score? Should Street Soccer be any different?
If a rule has not been broken, I say congrats to antkam.
I'm also a non-participant in Street Soccer, but I don't see how the ball could stay hemmed in indefinitely. If Yellow needed to keep the ball hemmed in, wouldn't he be in zugzwang?
The position is illegal.
The same position has been already discussed here, see

)
It is a lack of the program, hopefully Richard will implement this rule soon.
antkam, gentleman that he is, released me from the situation. But it was devilishly clever. If he had chosen to keep the situation, he could have arranged it that the ball could never be released.
On odd moves he simply moves into the free square. on even moves he simply “moves” to his existing position.
Of course, I could leave with my fielder (via out of bounds) and once my fielder leaves - it is clearly illegal.
A strange situation!
I wonder what happened if you did leave the corner with your player. I think then Antkam could only do a move which opened a path to the ball. (Maybe already if yo stepped outside the lines?) But then, if Antkam had a 1, he could not do any move at all if the ball lays completely in the corner!!!!!
Another possibility is that you try to move a second player into the corner. Then Antkam can't maintain his surrounding if he has 1, 3 or 5.
By the way: the turn before the surrounding you could have kicked the ball away from the corner with you 6.
The situation now,

is very funny too. :-)
