A lot of annual competitions use the term “olympiad” these days, and the MSO is a well-established brand at this point. It might be frustrating for someone who knows the historical context, but I guess the language has simply evolved.

Regardless of the naming, I'm very excited about this event! Being able to participate last year was like a dream come true, and I'm thankful at there being an opportunity to play from anywhere in the world once more.
