Some 25 years ago I invented a 2-players game that was widely played here in Genova, in live tournaments with the name “Knights assaulting the king”. Later I published a 4-players version of it in the central pages of a games magazine called GiocArea with the name “Checkers and Knights”.
The rules are awfully simple:
1. Pieces move and eat like the knight in chess.
2. The goal of the game is to bring 1 (2 players) or 4 (4 players) pieces on the last opponent’s line.
The game develops in long sequences of eatings that generally leave on the board a few pieces, and last not more then 30/50 moves, although it can easily happen to reach the goal much before.
With 2 players the second configuration is a little bit more strategic: there are fewer pieces and the goal is harder to reach, leading to a more defensive strategy. Anyway the game with 2 players on the second configuration can be some sometimes static and I prefer the first configuration, while with 4 players the second one is much better.
I’d incredibly grateful with Richard if ever this game could be implemented on LG!

What do you think about them?
Of course on LG I’d see better the 2-players version, if this could ever happen.
