Reply to this topic Return to forumnowadays are here some players with their level written beside nick (connect6 4kyu sohu and Goals 1 dan, both from china). I wonder how they got their titles, if there are some prooving tests like in renju, or c6 teachers(that would be interesting, c6 experienced teacher, if c6 is just 3 years old)telling them how good they are, or if their level is based on real-tournaments results? Or they wrote it there just for fun? :-)
! i dont know
but…im interesting…
but i considered bored
if my name was “kyu something”
i prefer my nickname to identify me “kpato” :D
I think you have to ask them directly by person message or by e-mail. Maybe they dont use forum as i used to not use it for first time. :-)
Really interesting question.
Unexpectedly a game where the name would cause so much discussion .
If C6 is a technical level, some might be more interesting. Friends, what you think?
What do you mean connect6-2kyu with “some might be more interesting” ?
Some players might be more interested?
Some games might be more interesting?
I really don't understand. Oh, and the first question, by ondik, was really addressed to you - and to the other player that uses similar nickname:
Are there titled connect6 players or teachers? Is your 2kyu really a title you got in a tournament or just a level you think you have reached?
The question actually was on what bases your 2kyu level? Just for fun, you typed it on your feeling or 2kyu level bases on your performance in real tournoments or something other?
finally some discoussion :-) and i also wonder about c6 “proffesionals” who are mentioned in official rules…
2c62k- it's not about your nickname just about your level you claim to be :-)
This is curious ,i have seen this game many years ago however it did not seem very many people wanted to give it a go when we played 5's or go….to be ranked as a dan one must burn some degree of daylight at it, or one can take a more modern view that says” everyone is second dan until they prove otherwise” :)
if i dont play this game again for another 30 years i guess i would still be as bad at it as i am now :)
