Reply to this topic Return to forumI believe had my opponent played u19 in this position>/a>, the game (which I eventually won) would have ended in a draw.\

I've previously played a draw here, but that was because neither my opponent nor I correctly understood the Twixt PP rules in use at Little Golem. As far as I know, game # 51160 could have become the first truly drawn position.
Let's try that again, without the typo…

Re 51160: Under Twixt PP rules White would still win after 34.U19* by playing 35.R16* threatening T15** or Q18** (creating a winning path that crosses itself twice.) Even under standard Twixt rules, White can win with 35.T14* (threatening S16**) 36.S16 37.S11. For example, 38.R9 39.Q10*, or 38.S10 39.U10*.
