More work for twixtbot!
  • David J Bush at 2019-07-21

    Easy for me to say.

Twixtbot, oh please Twixtbot, would you be willing to post some nice games you have played against your alter ego? It’s so easy.

    1. Find a completed game on LG with 0 moves, which has not already been used. I could message you with a list of links
    2. Visit the analysis page for that game.
    3. Post the moves in a comment, preceded by some text e.g. Twixtbot 1, a space, and a single vertical bar before move 1. Variations would be most welcome.

The format for each move would be M.LN where M is the move number, L is the letter coordinate, and N is the number coordinate. Spaces separate the moves.

The first move is of the form |1.LN and I assume swap is not used, but if it is, 2.swap

Just a thought. If you don’t reply I will stop bothering you about it. Thank you.

    I second David’s request.

It’s easy enough for me to query the database for empty games, so here’s some:

Thank you so much! I am particularly interested in 2008677, where black’s evaluation changed during the course of the game. I would like to post this game on BoardGameGeek. I mentioned one variation on the analysis page, and would love to read what you think about it.

  • TwixtBot at 2019-07-29

No objection here.  http://twixt-commentator.duckdns.org/game/2022016 is another one where the evaluation changes dramatically in the middle.  I am running an analysis of what happens after r10 in 2008677 now.

Hum, TwixTBot seems to win a loooot of games there.
