  • hiiintaro at 2004-01-09

    At kurnik we can play at 9x9, 10x10, 11x11, 12x12, 13x13

Wonderful! Any supporters for settling future national matches there instead of here?

Non-Polish speakers, use the address www.kurnik.pl/en to get English text. I am registered there as zamunda.

I vote that at LG we go for 10x10 and 13x13 and 19x19.

    Great idea Bill :)

May I ask why you say “Any supporters for settling future national matches there INSTEAD of here?“.

You do not like national matches to be played here?

It would be much faster there…that's all.

  • LoKo at 2004-01-12

There would be faster but not all likes playing in real time. There could max. 30 min. for game. It is too little for somebody. Everybode who wants to play let they come there in tourney.

  • ypercube at 2004-01-13

A paricular game may finish faster at kurnik. There are disadvantages though. Some people might have problems finding a normal time (for both) to play their game. And is it possible at kurnik to make your own tournaments (e.g. all to all) or the type of tournaments is fixed?

Real-time Hex is completely different from turn-based Hex. Players who like one venue may not care for the other. I'm very pleased the admins at Kurnik have added the new board sizes. I see they even have 13x13 tourneys there once each week. But I'm not willing to participate in any team matches there. Sorry Jan…

With a 9 hour difference between Poland and California, when I am at my mental peak, which is early evening , the Polish players are all asleep. That is why kurnik is not a good place for tourneyments.

Games here allow players to do their thinking during their best brain hours.
