Ultimate book on Hex
  • Ingo Althofer at 2019-10-07

    Hello,

the connection game “Hex” was invented in 1942

by Danish man Piet Hein. Ryan B. Hayward, Professor

for Computer Science at the University of Alberta

(in Edmonton) and Hex expert, has written together

with Bjarne Toft the ultimate book about Hex.

It is in English language, and nice to read. I learned

unbelievable many new things about the game from the book.

The book is online available for about 32 Euro (as paperback),

and as Kindle for about 24 Euro. Highly recommended!

    Ingo.

I am not in a position to discuss qualifiers such as “ultimate” but I think a thread about Hex books should mention Happy Hippo's book.

Either of these two books covers more strategic ground than the one by Cameron Browne, I think. Anyway, blessed is the game supported like this.
