In English games, they are using the SOWPODS list.  I have never noticed any missing.  Perhaps you have a misunderstanding about the rules (that happened to me more than once here).

I'm not sure what he is using for other languages.

I did find a few words missing. For example:

baedeker: http://www.dictionary.com/browse/baedeker

gemless: http://www.dictionary.com/browse/gem?s=t

heroe: Obsolete form of hero. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/heroe

HEROE should be a valid word.  I do not believe that the others are playable in Scrabble.  In any case, there are not in the SOWPODS list:

The term SOWPODS is an anagram of the two acronyms OSPD (Official Scrabble Players Dictionary) and OSW (Official Scrabble Words), these being the original two official dictionaries used in various parts of the world at the time.

Hmmm…..  I must admit to being confused.  I would have thought it would have been playable.  Did you ask Richard?

Just asked Richard regarding the valid words and hopefully he can answer the question :)

In the Spanish version, there are a lot of missing words. I have sent a message to Richard but haven't heard from him in return so far. It is very frustrating to find good words just to realize that they are not accepted…
